I absolutely love grilling season - not just because I can usually get my husband to do the cooking {although that is a great perk}, but also because everything tastes so fresh and fabulous hot off the grill.

One of our favorites on the grill is salmon.  I created this maple glaze a few weeks ago and we've already made it several times.  Talk about fast, easy and delicious!

We like it with roasted red potatoes and green beans, but rice or just a salad is good too.

Memorial Day Weekend is here!  First - our thanks to all brave men and women who have made possible the many opportunities we cherish in this great country.  To all those who have and do serve {special shout out to my own soldier son} our love and prayers go out to all of you!

So this Thai Chop Salad is how we have been eating lately. It's almost Memorial Day Weekend-  you know what that means . . . Time to get Fired-Up about Firing-Up the Grill!

We tried out these Teriyaki Sweet Onion Sliders and they were a big hit -{so much so that I  didn't have a chance to click some good pictures before they were gone!}  Usually my family knows the routine and are pretty patient about waiting for me to take pictures before they eat . . .  not this day - these little gems disappeared in a flash.

Ever since my kids were little we have counted the number of sleeps until an event or particular day.  As my kids get older it still seems to stick around.  Every morning the new count is announced by someone and then often repeated throughout the day.  We are currently four sleeps away from our neighborhood pool opening.  We are pretty excited at our house; it is like a major holiday for us.  The pool is where you will find my kids and I on just about any day during the summer.  And what better poolside treat than a SCOTCHEROO!
