Watermelon Slush

watermelon sluch

Yes it is mid-May and yes it seems odd for me to post a Watermelon Slush today. We have had a big drop in temperatures and plenty of snow. Mother's day looked a little more like Christmas outside than a spring day. However, this Watermelon Slush is simple and delicious and maybe it will help it to feel like summer is really on it's way even though the weather may be a little confused.

Rhubarb Cheesecake Pie

rhubarb cheesecake pie

Last week on Facebook I showed you some beautiful rhubarb I was so excited about.  I wasn't positive what I wanted to do with it, but I knew it needed to be wonderful because I was so tempted to make my favorite Rhubarb Custard Pie instead of trying something new.

Fresh Strawberry Yogurt Cake

Fresh Strawberry Yogurt Cake

Happy Mother's Day to all of you.  If you are looking for a wonderful way to celebrate, this Fresh Strawberry Yogurt Cake is perfect!  The cake is made with Greek yogurt and is incredibly moist plus filled with fresh strawberry flavor!  Top it off with a little drizzle of fresh lemon glaze and you've got an irresistible combination.

The day I made this cake I drove my husband crazy - it smelled soooo good when it was baking and he was so anxious to try it;  of course it had to cool and then I had to glaze it  .

Chewy Toffee Almond Bars

chewy toffee almond bars

Sitting at my computer with a five year trying to help, here are the topics I was given to write about today - shoes, napkins, receiving packages in the mail, summer, and school. So there you have it, I really didn't have much else to say today anyway. I am of little words, but I have a great recipe.

Here is an easy dessert that doesn't take much and is delish! We have a shortbread crust with chewy toffe with coconut and almonds, what's not to love?
