Pumpkin Swirl Brownies


A couple of weeks ago I shared with you a recipe for Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Blondies that combine some chocolate with the great taste of pumpkin.  The mix of chocolate and pumpkin is fabulous, so naturally I couldn’t resist these Pumpkin Swirl Brownies which combine the great taste of pumpkin with  chocolate brownie.  Same great concept of melding two delicious flavors into one fabulous treat.

These brownies are a delicious treat for Halloween or  throughout the Holiday season.

Brown Sugar Pecan Coffee Cake

It’s the beginning of a beautiful fall weekend . . . the air is crisp, but not too cold; and for the time being, the government is up and running.  Sounds like a great time to relax and enjoy this Brown Sugar Pecan Coffee Cake.  The mix of brown sugar cake topped with lots of crunchy pecans is heavenly.  It’s so easy to put together – what are you waiting for?

Apple Pear Raspberry Crisp

We all know and love the traditional Apple Crisp, but how about adding in a few other members to the party. This fruit crisp has apples, pears and raspberries and it is a great party. It is a party for your mouth. Of course we love to eat this warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.  YUM…its making me hungry just typing about this Apple Pear Raspberry Crisp.  I wouldnt be able judge if you maybe eat a little for breakfast the next day either. 😉

Sweet Potato Sheet Cake with Bacon Cream Cheese Frosting

I know some of you are looking at the title of this recipe and thinking “really, is this for real?”. But it works, I promise. Think about it, sweet potatoes are used in all kinds of ways including desserts. {Sweet Potato Pie, anyone? } And well, salty and sweet make a great combination that has been proven in so many ways. So why not add a little bacon to the frosting? Why not go with the sweet and salty combination? And to be honest there is very little bacon in this recipe, so it really just gives that subtle hint
