Brown Sugar Cornbread

It’s September, and I can’t wait for FALL!  I can hardly wait for cooler temperatures and to break out the fall sweaters.  It’s also time to start thinking soup and chili!  This Brown Sugar Cornbread is the perfect addition. to a hot cup of soup or thick bowl of chili!  It’s simple to make and the dark brown sugar gives it a hearty fall flavor!

Ingredients

1/2 cup butter (more for buttering pan)
1 1/3 cups yellow cornmeal
1 cup flour
1 tablespoon plus 3/4 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon hot pepper jelly
1 teaspoon spicy brown mustard
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 large ripe peach, peeled and diced
1 Brie round (about 13.2 ounces) in wooden box
