Oven Bacon

oven bacon

I don’t know why it took me so long to come around to the idea of cooking bacon in my oven.  Old habits die hard I guess.  However, once I caught on to this approach to bacon, I’ve never turned back to the frying pan.  Oven bacon is faster, easier, and has a whole lot less mess to deal with.  It’s especially great when feeding a crowd!

Veggie Pizza Appetizer

veggie pizza appetizer 047

This Veggie Pizza Appetizer is another oldie that I just love to find on a party spread.  It’s easy to make with refrigerated crescent dough topped with seasoned cream cheese and fresh veggies.  The fun part is you can customize this to your own individual taste.  I used broccoli, cucumbers, peppers, and carrots, but there is no limit to the crunchy combinations you can make.  I’ve seen tomatoes, onions, olives, and even cheese added to the mix.
