Apple Smiles

Ha Ha…aren’t these the funniest smiles ever?  Perfect for the Halloween season.  These make a qreat afternoon snack for the kids.  They will love making these.  My kids think they are “funny”  and they taste good too.  I already knew that I liked apples with peanut butter, but didn’t know what I would think of the marshmallows in the mix.  Well, I must admit I thought it was actually quite tasty.

Cheese and Sausage Egg Strata

A few weeks ago we showed you our “What’s for Brunch” menu.  We’ve had so many fun fall recipes to post we haven’t had a chance to get back to it!

This beauty of this recipe is that it is so good, yet so simple and you can make it up the night before.  We eat it on Christmas morning for that very reason {along with Sour Cream Apple Coffee Cake which can also be made up a day or two in advance.}   There is just too much going on Christmas morning to be cooking – I need

Halloween Candy Bark

Are you ready for candy?  Halloween is less than two weeks away.  I know my kids are counting down to the big day.  They can’t wait for trick-or-treating.  So, if you are like them than here is a perfect treat.  Talk about chocolate.  This candy bark has tons of it.  If you are in need of a quick gift for a teacher, friend, neighbor then look no further.  This will make enough to give away and still have some left.  {I won’t judge you if you eat it for breakfast.}

Another great time to make this is after the trick-or-treating.

SUNDAY ROAST (and French Dips)

Don’t you love the smell of a roast in the oven – you can smell through the entire house and just can’t wait for it to be done!

This roast is a staple in our house and it’s very easy to make.  We call it Sunday Roast because we like to make it on Sunday mornings and put it in the oven on time-bake so its hot and ready when we come home from church – you can smell it as soon as you open that garage door and you know it’s going to be delicious!

Baked Apple Sundae

I love ice cream.  I really love vanilla ice cream with toppings.  Toppings just seem fun to me.  Maybe it is why I jumped with both feet into the frozen yogurt scene.  I love the toppings as much if not more than the frozen yogurt itself.  (Please tell me I am not alone in this.)  So I know what you are probably thinking…the ice cream is inside the apple, it is not a topping.  Well, technically the ice cream is inside and the apple is not on top at all.  But because the apples are baked they are soft enough
