Oven Baked Sweet Potato Fries

I love a good hamburger as much as the next person, but when I have to choose between fries and sweet potato fries, I sometimes get a little flustered. It can be such a difficult choice. Sweet potato fries are really tempting year round, but in the fall they are especially tempting. Sweet potatoes seem to be more abundant this time of year. There is no reason you need to go out to enjoy sweet potato fries. They are simple to make and worth that little amount of effort.

Ghiradelli Caramel Hot Chocolate

Caramel Hot Chocolate is no ordinary hot chocolate.  This is made with Ghirardelli Milk Chocolate Caramel squares and you can taste the richness with the first sip.  This is going to warm you inside and out.  I can’t say enough about this  particular hot chocolate recipe, other than you are going to want to try this one!!

Ghiradelli Caramel Hot Chocolate

Ingredients:

2 cups half and half
12 Ghirardelli caramel filled milk chocolate squares
Whipped Cream for garnish
caramel topping for garnish

Kids in the Kitchen: Frankenstein Rice Krispie Sticks


As I said yesterday, Jocelyn and I have made a switch this week so I am the lucky one in Denver with her three kids.  Did I mention  it  is  also Fall Break here . . .  that means nobody is in school so we have all day to play!  No worries, I came prepared with my Pinterest boards and lots of fun crafts and activities.

Pumpkin Bars with Cream Cheese Frosting


This week is a real treat for me.   Jocelyn is  in Virginia with her husband and I get the week to myself with my grandkids in Denver.  Not only are we having lots of fun family time together, I get to enjoy a real fall . . . the leaves are in full color, the air is crisp and chilly-  it is absolutely beautiful.
