$50 Outback Steakhouse Giveaway!

Even if you love to cook as we do at Caramel Potatoes, isn’t it  wonderful to let someone else cook dinner once in a while!  I’ve always loved to watch Take Home Chef.  My dream was finding Curtis Stone in the grocery store waiting to come to my house to cook one of his delicious gourmet meals!  {Of course it always ruined the fantasy when I would think – ‘wait, not today – my house isn’t clean enough for a camera crew!’ – sigh . . . that’s okay, he never showed anyway.} Read More

Toffee Fondue

It’s the most wonderful time of the year!  It truly is, but I am reminded this morning that it is the sickest time of year too.  I love Christmas time and all that it means, but it does seem that my kids are sick more too.  I am reminded of this as I type with a 3-year-old curled up on my lap.  Her belly doesn’t feel good.  So it begins…

Cider Pork Chops with Baked Apples

With the Christmas around the corner, we all seem to be focused on Christmas Treats {of course we are, who doesn’t love Christmas candy and cookies??}; however, if you want something special for a holiday dinner, here is one of our favorites.  Apples are my husband’s favorite.  He will always pick apple pie over any other and any recipe with apples is always a winner with him.  So of course he loves these pork chops baked with apples and raisins – the whole family does. The combination of apples and pork chops is classic – we love to serve
