Strawberry Banana Frozen Smoothie
January is somewhat of a quirky month. Most of us set resolutions to eat better. The first couple of weeks of the month there were lots of healthy eating and exercise pins floating around on Pinterest. Now we are two weeks into the month and it’s mostly scrumptious desserts and goodies being pinned {lol}. At least we can laugh at ourselves together right: 😉
Not wanting to leave anyone out, we’re trying to fill our January with a mix of healthy choices {for those of you working the skinny jeans}, Game Day nom noms {for those of you who just want to have a good time}, and tempting Valentine Treats {for those of you committed to Chocolate}.
This Frozen Smoothie is a fun, easy, and healthy snack. The recipe comes from RawFoodNation.org – they call it ice cream . . . I don’t think I can go that far – but hey, if you can convince yourself it’s the real thing all the better! No matter what you call it, your kids will think they are getting a real treat – and so will you!
Strawberry Banana Frozen Smoothie
1 small banana
1 cup strawberries (fresh or frozen)
1/3 cup almond milk
Blend until smooth, then freeze. {You’ll need to let it set out a few minutes or put it in the microwave on defrost before you enjoy.} This is one you can feel good about!
