When Jocelyn got married she received a panini maker as a wedding gift and would tell me about all the wonderful paninis she was making. It all sounded so good, but I just didn’t have a space for another appliance . . . then I found the Breville Panini Press at Williams-Sonoma– Not only is it a panini maker, but an indoor grill also. {Goodbye old grill – Hello Breville}.

The big difference for me is that it is slightly sloped with a drip pan so I could use it as my former grill, plus it has an adjustable height control to make fabulous paninis and other fun food. This grill it is one of the most-used items in my kitchen {because a hot toasted sandwich is always so much better than a cold boring sandwich} and it really is one of my favorite things!

{Naturally, I was thrilled when Oprah concurred with my conclusion -not just once, but twice she has had it on her favorite things}.

We love this panini press because it creates so many Cook Once Eat Twice opportunities. For instance one of our family favorites is to make meatloaf and then have a meatloaf panini on night two {meatloaf, provolone and yummy meatloaf sauce – We love the panini as much or more than the original meatloaf and potatoes meal}.

We also love this Cedar Plank Salmon with Honey Pepper Glaze Panini for the same reason – Cook once, Eat twice! So many of your leftovers can turn into another complete and delicious meal!

In addition to being able to grill chicken, steak, hamburgers, fish, fruits and veggies, etc., we also use it to make Quesadillas – a family favorite!

My son was in high school at the time and he quickly learned to make frozen hamburger patties, and breaded frozen chicken (25 minutes in the oven, 5 minutes on panini press!} and even bacon; when he left for college we got him his own Breville Panini Press to take to college and he loves it!
