Now that you have a perfect dinner for two (here), you just need there perfect dessert! Can you ever go wrong with Chocolate Fondue? Not only is it fun and scrumptious – it only takes 5 minutes! Couple it with the Beef Tenderloin Steaks from yesterday and you have a complete gourmet dinner for two in 30 minutes!
Just add all your favorite dippables – we love strawberries and bananas . . . and fresh pineapple is so good with the chocolate! Pictured here is store-bought angel food cake cut into hearts {cute!} You can do the same with brownies, cake and even twinkies! This will definitely make your Valentine’s Day Delicious!
Chocolate Fondue
Ingredients
8 ounces heavy cream
1 1/2 cups chocolate chips- use dark, semi-sweet or milk chocolate (12 oz bar chocolate, chopped)
Dippables such as strawberries, pineapple, banana, dried fruit, cake, brownies, marshmallows, etc. Finely chopped nuts to dip in (optional).
Directions
Warm the cream over medium heat until it just begins to boil. Add the chocolate and whisk until smooth. (You can also heat this in the microwave.)
Immediately transfer to a fondue pot heated with a low flame. If you don’t have a fondue pot, just use a small ramekin or dish (if it starts to get too thick just add a tablespoon of cream and pop it back in the microwave).
Makes 1 1/2 cups of chocolate
