Lemon Brownies

There’s no better way to celebrate Spring than with the taste of fresh lemon! These Lemon Brownies are so simple to make and have that burst of spring in them! Perfect for parties or a lazy weekend afternoon!

Lemon Brownies


3/4 C flour
3/4 C sugar
1/4 t salt
1 stick butter, soft
2 eggs
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon lemon zest


Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Spray an 8 x 8 pan or line with parchment paper.

Use your electric mixer to combine the flour, sugar and salt.  Mix in the softened butter.

In another bowl whisk the eggs with the lemon juice and zest.  Add to the mixer bowl and beat until smooth.  Pour into the prepared pan.

Bake at 350 for 22-25 minutes.  Remove and let cool, then glaze.

1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon lemon zest
Whisk together and spread over lemon brownies.
