Apple Sandwiches
What’s the first thing your kids say when they get home from school? If they are like mine, it’s “What’s for Snack?” I still remember coming home from school starving – especially if you had the early lunch period at 10:45!
This apple sandwich is fun and healthy! It’s perfect for a quick morning breakfast or a yummy afternoon snack to tide them over until dinner; you can even pack in a lunch box. All you need to do is take your apple, cut it into slices and top it with peanut butter, granola, and mini chocolate chips {also try raisins, nuts, coconut, or cinnamon; be as creative as you like!}
Let your little ones spread the peanut butter and sprinkle the granola – they will love them even more.
P.S. You really don’t have to have kids to enjoy these tasty little sandwiches – I love them for breakfast and sometimes lunch! 😉
Apple Sandwiches
Ingredients
1 large apple
peanut butter
granola
mini chocolate chips or raisins, nuts, coconut, cinnamon, etc.
Directions
Wash and cut apple into 4 slices. Core the apple with an apple corer or a small cookie cutter will work. {You could cut fun shapes like stars and hearts.} Spread peanut butter on one slice. Sprinkle with granola and chocolate chips. Top with another slice of apple.
Note: If you want to pack these in a lunch box, brush each apple slice with lemon juice to keep it from turning brown.
Oh Yum – I love apples with peanut butter!
Love these – making them today after school. Such cute pics.
I had these when I was losing a bunch of weight & they are good!
