Black and White Oatmeal Cookies
I know I just posted cookies last week, but I have really been in a cookie mode lately. It seems that almost daily I am craving a homemade, warm and fresh from the oven cookie. I’m usually not to particular to what kind of cookie just as long as it is warm and soft and I can eat it with a glass of milk. My kids have found this particular obsession great for them as well. They are constantly coming home from school and finding trays of cookies cooling on the counter.
These particular cookies are amazing. My sweets loving son voted them one of his most favorite kinds of cookies. They were truly a big hit at my house. I may have eaten a few more than I should have, but in my defense, I had to make sure they were good enough to share with all of you. 😉
Black and White Oatmeal Cookies
Ingredients:
1 cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
3 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1 1/2 cup quick oats
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup white chocolate chips
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a mixing bowl, beat together the butter, sugar and brown sugar until creamy. Add in the eggs and vanilla, mix well. Slowly add in the flour, baking soda and baking powder until fully incorporated. Fold in the oats and chocolate chips. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto cookie sheets and bake 9-11 minutes. Allow to cool on the cookie sheet before moving to a wire rack.
These look yummy. My kids will love these in
their lunch.
These look absolutely perfect! Thanks for sharing at Sweet & Savory Saturdays #29.
