Fried Ravioli
It is that time of year-football!! I have to be honest though, I don’t really follow it much. I do know that our home team, the Broncos, lost last weekend. And that is all I know about this football season. {Sad, I know}
However I know a lot more about food than I do football. So, lucky for you I have a great appetizer sure to please any football watching crowd.
Fried Ravioli
Ingredients:
Vegetable oil
1 cup Italian-seasoned breadcrumbs
1/2 cup shredded parmesan cheese
1 tsp. garlic powder
dash of salt
2 eggs, beaten
1 (25 oz) package frozen cheese ravioli, thawed
Directions:
Pour oil into a large Dutch oven to the depth of 1 inch. Heat over medium-high heat.
Combine bread crumbs, cheese, garlic powder and salt in a shallow dish. {A pie plate works great} Dip ravioli in beaten eggs; dredge in bread crumbs, shaking off excess. Fry ravioli, about 10 at a time {do not overcrowd the pan} 20-30 seconds or until golden. Remove ravioli with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Continue with remaining ravioli. Serve with marinara sauce for dipping.
I have to admit it. I snuck a peek at this post at work and exclaimed “Wow!” right at my desk, to questioning eyebrows. If you’re going to post recipes that look THIS amazing, I’m gonna have to wait until I get home to check them out. 🙂 OMG, I want to try these right now!
Karen – I feel your pain! Ha! Glad to know you like what you see!
