Cinnamon Apples
My 7-year-old loves to go out to eat and one of her favorite things to order is cinnamon apples. She always favors restaurants that serve these apples. Finally it dawned on me that we should just make cinnamon apples at home so that we are not limited to restaurants that serve them. So one afternoon after school we came up with our own cinnamon apple recipe. And again the next day, over the weekend and now they are frequent at our house. My daughter and I now share a love for cinnamon apples.
Cinnamon Apples
Ingredients:
4 green apples, peeled, cored and diced
2 Tbls. butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/8 tsp. ginger
1 Tbls. flour
Directions:
In a saucepan, melt butter over medium-low heat. Stir in brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger until smooth. Add apples; cook for 10-15 minutes or until tender, stirring occasionally.
Your daughter is a girl after my own heart – I always order cinnamon apples too. Can’t wait to make them. Thanks
Looks delish! Would make a great autumn treat.
I think I might try canning these to have on hand.
Love cinnamon apples!!!!
