Cherry Crunch Pie

Happy Presidents Day! In honor of the day, we thought we’d feature something Cherry for the celebration. {. . . thought about changing the name to “I Cannot Tell a Lie, Cherry Pie”, but since you’ll want to enjoy this one all year long . . . maybe just for today}
Hopefully you have the day off and have something fun planned . . . if not, this dessert is yummy and very, very easy – you could whip it up tonight to celebrate.
Cherry Crunch has been a family favorite of ours for years . . . when my kids were little I think one of them would make it almost every Sunday night. They loved it warm out of the oven with ice cream, but they also loved it because it was something simple they could make themselves. I’m sure your family will love it too!
P.S. If you want a little more President’s Day fun at dinner tonight, hop over to these websites to test your presidential smarts: Do you know where Mt. Vernon is located? Who was our only bachelor president? Which president was born on the 4th of July?
